About FindMoldRemoval
We built this directory because finding a trustworthy mold remediation company is harder than it should be.
Why this directory exists
Mold problems rarely announce themselves at a convenient time. By the time a homeowner notices visible growth or smells something wrong, the damage has usually been building for weeks. The last thing anyone needs at that point is to spend hours sifting through contractor listings and wondering whether the company they called actually knows what they are doing.
FindMoldRemoval keeps a curated directory of verified, licensed mold removal and remediation companies across the United States so homeowners can skip that part.
How we verify contractors
Not every company that advertises mold removal has the training or licensing to do it safely. We do our best to track and verify the following for each listing — though availability of information varies and we cannot guarantee completeness.
State licensing
Licensing requirements vary by state. We check that each company holds the applicable contractor or remediation license for where they operate.
Google reviews
We look for consistent feedback across a meaningful number of reviews, not a handful of five-star entries with no detail.
Industry certifications
We look for technicians certified by recognized industry bodies — such as the IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification), NORMI, or ACAC — which set training and competency standards for mold and water damage work.
We update listings when new information becomes available. If you spot something outdated, let us know through our contact page.
Who uses FindMoldRemoval
Most people who land here have already found a problem: water damage after a pipe burst, a suspicious smell from the crawl space, or something flagged in a home inspection report. Some are property managers dealing with a tenant complaint. Some are buyers doing due diligence before closing.
The common thread is needing someone qualified quickly. We try to make finding them faster than scrolling through search results and hoping for the best.
